Rules of the Rink

 

Skate at Your Own Risk: Roller skating is a physical activity with an inherent risk of injury; by participating you assume the risk of injury.

 For the safety of yourself and others please abide by the following rules…

 1.    Skaters must sign a waiver.

2.    Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Children who are unable to skate should be supervised on the rink by an adult.

3.    Wear the protective equipment provided.

4.    Do not skate if you are pregnant, or have any serious health/medical conditions.

5.    Socks must be worn when using hire skates (socks available to purchase).

6.    No food or drink allowed on the rink.

7.    No gum allowed.

8.    No cameras, phones or photography/videography on the rink unless permission has been given by Management.

9.    Skate in an anti-clockwise direction unless otherwise instructed.

10. Do not skate between the pillars.

11. No pushing, disruptive behaviour or reckless skating.

12. No speed skating unless within the allotted time.

13. Skate to your own ability.

14. Do not carry children/babies or others whilst wearing skates.

15. No spectators allowed on the rink at any time.

16. Alert staff of any first aid emergencies.

17. No profanity. Strong language will lead to suspension from the session.

18. Alcoholic beverages, legal highs, illegal substances or anyone under the influence will not be permitted on the rink/premises.  Alcohol purchased on site should be consumed after your skate session to prevent injury to yourself and/or others.

19. Stoppers management reserve the right to remove anyone from the rink that is putting themselves or others at risk!

20. Skate aids provided at the discretion of staff or skate Marshals. These are only issued to children who cannot balance unaided. Children that cannot skate must be accompanied on the rink by an adult to help assist.

 21. Physical and verbal abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.

RULES WHEN USING YOUR OWN SKATES 

1.    A member of staff must check your skates before entering onto the rink.

2.    Skates must be clean and fit for purpose.

3.    No bolts or sharp edges protruding which could cause damage or injury.

4.    Toe stops or jam plugs must be in place to prevent damage to rink.
