Terms and Conditions

 

Stoppers Roller Rink is committed to ensuring the safety of its visitors and staff and the following terms and conditions must be adhered to in order to have a safe and enjoyable experience. However whilst every effort is made to ensure your safety, roller skating is not without risk and participants must be aware that unpreventable accidents, injury or death  can happen and skating is solely at your own risk.

  • Stoppers Roller Rink and management accepts no responsibility for any accidents, injuries, loss or damage howsoever caused to yourself or a third party that may occur whilst taking part in any Stoppers Roller Rink session or event, this includes venue structures, obstacles or the actions of other skaters.

  • A waiver must be read and signed prior to participating. If a waiver form is not received with the booking and is not completed prior to the session you will not be able to participate. All waiver forms must be completed online and uploaded when booking in your session or on arrival at the premises if you have not booked online.

    For under 18s, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver form.

  • Minimum age policy – The minimum age requirement to skate is 3 years and over.

  •  Children under the age of 16 or under must be accompanied by a person aged 18 or over. Stoppers Roller Rink reserves the right to refuse entry to any customer under this age.

  •  An adult must accompany children on the rink, or at manager’s discretion depending on child’s skating ability.

  • Stoppers Roller Rink accepts no responsibility for damage, loss or theft of any personal property that occurs whilst the participant is enjoying the session, or any part of the site or in any part of the event site or structures. Valuables are left at the owners risk. Lockers are provided for a £1 refundable deposit.

  • Stoppers Roller Rink accepts no responsibility for damage, loss or theft of their vehicle in our car park or overflow car park.

  •  The Conditions of Entry (outlined below) form part of the Terms & Conditions. Where the conditions are not met the organisers / security staff reserve the right to refuse entry whereupon any tickets will not be refunded.

  •    Participants must watch the safety video prior to the skate session. If you have not skated before please ask for assistance from one of our Skate Marshall’s and/or utilise the skate aids.

  •  Participants are to wear protective equipment (free to loan) to minimize injury from a fall or collision. Failure to request and use such equipment is entirely at the participant’s risk.

  • Participants are to notify a skate marshal or member of staff immediately of any failure or damage to Stoppers Skate Rink Ltds, hire equipment and must not continue the activity until it is replaced or repaired. Failure to do so could result in injury and so by not doing so would be at your own risk.

  •  Only food & drink purchased at Stoppers Roller Rink is permitted. However, participants can bring bottled water.

  •  Alcohol can be purchased from the Roller Stop café/bar but in order to prevent accidents or injury to yourself or others (alcohol greatly affects your balance and judgement) please complete your skate session before consuming alcoholic beverages.

  •  Those who appear to be under the age of 25 will be asked to present a valid form of ID when purchasing alcohol. Only EU photo driving licenses, UK/EU passports or PASS accredited photo ID will be accepted.

  •  Anybody who arrives in an intoxicated state or under the influence will not be permitted, given skates or receive a refund.

  •  Fireworks or pyrotechnics, laser devices, flammable liquids or gasses; Bulk quantities of any items that could be intended for unauthorised trading; Knives or offensive weapons, Bicycles are not permitted into the Venue.

  •  Any person or persons suspected of attempting to enter Stoppers Roller Rink with the intention of causing, damage, disorder, nuisance or to commit any form of crime will be refused entry.

  •  Stoppers Roller Rink Management or Crew Members reserve the right to remove participants from the rink or remove skates from participants, if they suspect they are a risk to themselves or others.

  •  Socks must be worn with hire skates. Participants will not be allowed to hire skates without socks. These can be purchased from the Skate Hire desk or Rollers Skate Shop.

  •  By entering the event customers consent to photography, filming, and or recording. These maybe used for social media, website, press releases, promotional and marketing purposes.

  •  Stoppers Roller Rink/Management accept no responsibility for any personal property lost, stolen or damaged within the premises.

  •  CCTV and film cameras will be present inside and outside the premises.

  •  There is the use of strobe lighting, neon light, flashing lights & images. Please contact us to find out which sessions are suitable for people who have light sensitivity.

  • Wheelchair access & Disabled users – Stoppers Roller Rink caters for wheelchair users providing they are accompanied by a carer. Stoppers Roller Rink will not provide a carer in the absence of a carer.

  •  Pre-existing medical conditions

We highly recommend that you do not take part in any roller skating activity if you suffer from:

  • Back or neck problems

  • Ankle, knee or joint weakness or injuries

  • Heart conditions

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Brittle Bones

Or any other condition that could be aggravated or cause risk to your health by participating in this activity.

          Do not roller skate if you suspect or are pregnant.

 Consult your doctor if you are unsure.

  •   Stoppers Roller Rink will operate in almost all weather conditions. In the event of extreme weather conditions resulting in the cancellation of a session, refunds will only be given if notice of the cancellation is given less than 30 minutes before the session was scheduled to start. In this event ticket holders will be offered alternative sessions subject to availability.

  • The purchase of tickets is subject to the organisers right, without prior notice and without refund or compensation, to close or change the program of attractions or events and/or the event operating hours.

  • Roller skating is at your own Risk and we do not accept liability for accidents or injury’s as a result of roller skating.
