FAQ

  • Is there free carparking?

    Yes, there is a free car park to the front of the premises and there is an overflow car park to the rear of the premises. There is also free on street parking as and when available. Please do not park in the neighbouring (Kings Carpets) car park.

  • Are there public transport links?

    Stoppers Roller Rink is accessible by public transport. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk away.
    The 155 bus from South Molton to Barnstaple also travels to Pottington and again is a few minutes walk.

  • Is there somewhere to get food?

    Yes. The Roller Stop café & bar serves a selection of hot and cold snacks, Ice cream, and hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages.

  • Can I bring my own food drinks or snacks?

    No. Food or drink from outside the venue is not permitted. Please support our café.

  • Is there somewhere safe to store my belongings?

    Yes, there are lockers which are £1 returnable.

  • I am not skating is there a charge?

    Yes there is a small charge for spectators.

  • Can I bring my own skates?

    Yes. We will give them a quick once over to check for safety & cleanliness. Toe stops or jam plugs must be in place.

  • Are inline skates allowed?

    Yes. We will just do checks to ensure they are safe, clean and your good to go.

  • Do you Hire skates?

    Yes we do. These are available in sizes 6 j to adult size 12.

  • Can I bring a scooter, skateboard or Heelys?

    No. Only rental micro scooters for the pre school session are allowed.

  • Do you have any assistance aids?

    Yes, we have a small number of skate aids to borrow. These require a refundable deposit.

  • Can wheelchair users join the session?

    Yes, as long as the wheelchair user has a carer to assist on the rink. We are unable to provide a carer. Your carer can skate for free if assisting.

  • What is the minimum age?

    Age 3+. An adult skater must accompany young children who can’t skate on the rink.

  • Do you offer student discount?

    No but we do have a discounted Thursday evening sessions.

  • Can I purchase gift vouchers?

    Yes, these can be purchased online or at reception.

  • What happens if you reach capacity? Will I still get in?

    We do have a health and safety capacity in place. Should we reach this (which we do regularly) those without pre-booked tickets will not be able to get in.
    Always book to come to avoid unnecessary journeys and upset.

  • Can I drop my children off and collect after the session?

    Children must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult and must not be left unattended during the session. Responsibility lies with the parent or guardian throughout the session.

  • What time is last admission

    Last admission is one hour prior the end of each session.

  • If I buy a ticket online can I get a refund?

    Unfortunately all online tickets are non-refundable, this is clearly stated before purchase and is included in our terms & conditions. If you have purchased a ticket in advance and would like to request a change in date please do contact us prior to your session and we will do our best to amend your booking to an equivalent session depending on availability.   • What if I am too late or miss my booked session? Can I get a refund or change the date.

    No. If you have missed your session or are too late for your session refunds or date transfers are not provided. Please see our refunds policy.

  • What is the largest skate size you hire?

    Size UK12

  • What is the smallest skate size you hire?

    Size 6j

  • Do you supply skate aids

    We have a small number of skate aids which are only issued at the discretion of the skate Marshal or member of staff.
